Kentucky KIDS COUNT
The Annie E. Casey Foundation funds a KIDS COUNT project in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands to raise public awareness and accountability for the condition of kids and families by measuring and reporting on the status of children. Kentucky Youth Advocates, the Kentucky KIDS COUNT grantee, provides a detailed county-by-county picture of the condition of children through the annual publication of the Kentucky KIDS COUNT Data Book. KYA uses KIDS COUNT data on children and families to inform public debate and strengthen public action on behalf of children and families.
2007 Kentucky KIDS COUNT Data Book
The 2007 Data Book was released on November 9. Overall, Kentucky saw more improvement than decline on the 47 indicators. However, much work remains to be done.
